Series 3 of Art Cards

It's time to share my most recent round of wee portraits (they're baseball-card sized, to give you an idea of scale). I can rest assured that these are in the hands of their respective owners. Click the image to see more sizes as well as the gory details of what I got in trade for these babies.

Brigitte Lahaie

Paul Naschy's CRAZYFACE

Christopher Lee

Gurth

Sylvia Kristel

King Diamond
Thank yous, as always, go out to my incredibly generous and for sending a plentitude of swap goodies to me! Also, thank you all for your patience. I am many things, but "timely" doesn't appear to be one of them :)

Series 4 starts... I dunno when. Sometime well after October (I've got a Very Important Zero Ending Birthday coming up and then it's right on to the most important holiday of the year). Trades shall be Taken Under Consideration!

Thanks once again, Empress, for sharing your wonderful artistic gifts! Naschy is giving me his CRAZY FACE from the side of my monitor as we speak...it's making me simultaneously uncomfortable and giddy. I don't know if that's attributable to Nascy himself, or if it's all the Tenebrous. ;)

The other cards look great too--but I like mine best. ;)

Many thanks!

Thanks again for showing up your gifted works. I love them a lot. You have an amazing talent. The people that received them are lucky indeed. I'm still loving my Laura Gemser one from before. Great job you did.

You went all out this last round! I love my wee little Lee and he sits proudly on my desk! You are awesome but then hey - you already knew that!

Aye! Another one of us with those evil 0 birthdays quickly approaching - luckily mine is still several months away.

Would you take a George Brett '75 rookie card for a Brigitte Lahaie '79 or a Helmut Berger '71? (Sorry, but the mention of "baseball card sized" brought back some wonderful childhood memories). The artwork looks great, and I think you really captured the sensuality of Lahaie and Kristel, two of my favorites from the 70s.

Dearest Kate, the stunning portrait of Alfred "Gurth" Baillou that you sent me captures his unparalleled grace and dignity in such a way that I thought not possible. He shall forever be immortalized in all his hunchback glory for all time. I own many pieces of what the general public would consider "art", but this work brings a tear to my eye like no other.

Thank you.

I must agree with the Vicar, Naschy's portrait quickens the pulse; verily, it does make one swoon. Bravo!

Thank you for your kind words, lady and gentlemen! I'm so pleased to think that folks are enjoying my work.

Might I state that I am loving the fact that Paul Naschy has been ogled at least as much as Sylvia Kristel and Brigitte Lahaie? We're equal opportunity leerers in the Tenebrous Empire :)

Fred--the going rate for Mr. Berger was a big box full of Unspeakably Lurid Movies. He comes with an especially high price, on account of his being a figure of Extra Special Importance in the Empire ;) He's, like, the Babe Ruth rookie card of Tenebrous Art Cards. Helmut Berger in "Salon Kitty" would be the Babe Ruth rookie card with a one-time-only typographical error. It's THAT SERIOUS.

I think Sylvia Kristal is your triumph!

OMG LIKE WOAH!!!!

This is why I need to get back into the habit of reading da webses every single day!!! Unfortunately, a bunch of things have essploded in my life again, thus condemning me to play an eternal game of catch-up.

But no excuses now... Now, there is only KING DIAMOND. I can't believe how impeccably you were able to capture the krazee in his eyes. I don't even have to go looking for it... it's right there!!!

This hasn't found its way into my mailbox yet, but I will surely let you know when it arrives! And I'm already thinkin' 'bout what sort of RADNESS will most appropriately express my thanks.

Lookathim!!!!!! I'd hit that. Yeah, I know he's, like, 60. So???

Thank you, Karswell! Tis important to be nice to Princess Kitty (girl's got claws, so I hear).

Oh eek! I'm so sorry I spoilered the King for you, Kitty! I was certain that your goodies had made their way past the beavers and moose and Tim Hortons into your delicate little hands. I'm just tickled a hundred awesome colors about what you might be sending me in return! I'm aflutter--count on it :D
