The Abbess of Castro [1974]

Who doesn't love a little naughty nun action first thing on a Monday morning? Traipse on over to Nunsploitation.net and check out my review of "The Abbess of Castro." Gorgeous Barbara Bouchet dons the habit to play the feisty leader of a convent in 18th Century Italy, only to fall in love with a man of the cloth. Trust me when I say it's melodramagasmic. Here are a few stills from this notable entry into the canon of Sexy Sisters of Sinema to whet your appetite:

Mmm....Barbara Bouchet.....

Good review. Filed for when I'm in the mood for a nunsploitation movie, but not in the mood for a roughie.

Trust me on this. Having emerged a total deviant from a stifling Catholic home, your devotion to Nunsploitation is totally appreciated.

You don't know how many times I've yelled "Stop pretending! You're a hypocrite!" in a moment of passion.

My first six years in school, I was taught by nuns. No kidding.

Well-summed, Doc M! It's got that nunsploitation flavor you crave, without all the fattening gruesomeness ;)

Cinema Suicide, I think you're the first Catholic to say that! Generally, my Catholic pals just shake their heads and write my nunsploit-fandom off as a sometimes-endearing quirk.

Indeed, Jack! And I'm sure you could attest to the appropriate romantic application of the bitch slap as well.

It's sad to say, Pierre, but as a product of the US public school system, I have internalized that there *are* points in education where a well-applied ruler-smack might be a good thing for some students...!
