Happy Dia de los Muertos, interpals! Or as I like to think of it, "Colorful Sugar Skull Hangover Day."
This year, Baron XIII and I decided to bring some black magic realness to our costume efforts. Inspired by Swedish occult metallers Ghost, I spent around 24 hours cutting, ironing, sewing, and hot-gluing this outfit from scratch. I was really pleased with the reactions to the costume, and the best moments were when a few fellow Ghost fans expressed their approval at my sartorial selection.
During our wanderings, we met a guy dressed as one of the Blind Dead, who was super-happy that we recognized he was dressed as one of the Blind Dead. It was the Doomiest Halloween Ever.
No Halloween is complete with a single costume, so I carried the occult theme through to our Friday-night party. One could say I have a habit of collecting nun uniforms, if one really liked bad puns.
Baron XIII opted for a post-apocalyptic raider outfit, made of stuff lying around the house. We... have a lot stranger stuff lying around the house than most people, I think.

The here@workagainZone does the math:
GhostPope + Dead KnightsTemplar + WIN! :D
Maaaaan, around here if I dressed as a "Blind Dead" Templar and wore a sign identifying myself as such, I still would get quizzical looks. Great costumes!
Awesome!!
Love your costumes, but that Blind Dead costume is soooo cool!
Whoa! Amazing costumes all around. These put my "slightly-drunk-but-mostly-bloated-horror-fan" costume from last night to shame!
waaaaay cuter than that guy in Ghost!
Those comments are absolutely amazing. Well done.
I have a latex nun habit somewhere. I don't think I can fit into it anymore, unfortunately. I love the corset that you've got with it. And, my heavens, your boy looks yummy in that priest outfit and ghoul make-up. Please pardon my insane envy.
You are so awesome, Kate. We need to get together in our corsets and set the town on fire.
Well you sure had a more eventful Halloween than I did! All I did was stay in, watching Vincent Price movies and zombie-buddy-cop movies and other stuff like Hard Rock Zombies and Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter.
All hail Ghost Pope!! Wicked costumes!
With hair like that he's got most of a J-B.E. Zorg costume all the time...
